Without lives and celebrations cultivate life becomes monotonous and uninteresting. Therefore, almost all the schools have certain annual functions such as, Annual Sports Day, Parents Day, Teachers Day, School Anniversary Day, etcetera These celebrations add colour and charm to school life. Recently my school celebrated our Annual Parents Day with great pomp and show. The Parents Day celebration is the most authorized function in my school. A lot of preparation precedes the function. The main purpose of this function is to thank and appreciate the parents and the guardians of children, who help the school authorities in the mental process of education. It is a day of thanksgiving. Last year our Schools Parents Day was held on 10th October. The day was fine and sunny with few streaks of clouds here and there. Our school compound wore a festive lo ok.Arches and colourful flags were everywhere. Music and song filled the air. The main road leading to the school was beautifully decorated. The children were in their best attire. A group of slight kids, dressed in local costumes, stood like angels at the entrance welcoming every wholeness with their folded hands. The function started at 9.30 a.m. with the welcoming of the Chief lymph gland and the supernumerary invitees. They were led to the decorated Pandal by a group of Wangala dancers (Garo dancers). The Chief knob for the function was our newly appointed District Deputy commissioner. As soon as the Chief Guest reached the Pandal the school band started the marching tunes. The school children in six groups, dressed carefully in their school uniforms, marched to the beat of the drum. The Chief Guest took the seat and watched the parade with delight. Immediately after the march past, he hoisted the school flag amidst the sound of crackers, clapping of hands and singing of scho ol anthem. The Chief Guest then spoke a few words, which were followed by a colourful drill display by little kids. It was so charming to see the little kids jumping, twisting and dancing to the beats of the drums. Their lively steps, enchanting smile and colourful dresses impressed everyone present there. The drill display was followed by a karate demonstration performed by class V students. Their shouts, twists, chops and jumps evoked applause and cheers from the crowd. The inaugural function came to a mean with a Bamboo dance performed by the students of Class VII. After the inaugural function there was a tea party for the Chief Guest and other invitees. The days platform concluded with a fine cultural programme lasting about two hours. The cultural programme commenced with a few words by the Headmaster of the school stating the purpose of the function and inviting every one to relax and enjoy the performances of the children.Cultural dances, film songs and dances, action-songs and a short comic play made the entire programme lively and thrilling. The programme came to a close with an enchanting action song by the Nursery kids who evoked lots of laughter and from the audience. Thus, ended the Parents Day celebration of my school for that year. It was lively, interesting and exciting. Everyone enjoyed it to the full. All go with a smile on their face and with a big thank you on their lips. Indian Price Rises

Rising Price in India wrote by MILAN CHATERJEE ,india from http//www. publishyourarticles. org/eng/articles/ uprise-price-in-india. html Today, India is go about many problems the problem of corruption, the problem of unemployment, the problem of illiteracy, the problem of population, so on and so forth. The problem of move up prices is matchless of the most important problems that Indian is liner now. This problem is two-fold to check the rising prices and, if possible, to bring the prices down. The economists are of opinion that growing economy of the country has given rise to the rising prices. Such economy causes puffiness. In inflation purchasing power runs ahead of purchasable goods. In other words, in a growing country, the supply of money increase at once alone the supply of goods takes time to increase. Again the population has increased. This has further increased inflation. Because of growing population the current corruption is increasing. There is another cause of rising prices. The doing of consumption goods has been very slowly rising. Our plants are also responsible for the leave food situation. High targets were set to be achieved in defense and development. Levels of outlay on the development were suggested. No consideration was given to the existing state of economy. The pressure on real resources has been increasing. The gap between the return and investment also has its effect upon the present price situation. Thirdly, the kind of system of Government is liable to inflation. Restraint cannot be exercised in spending. Often it happens that claims have to be met mainly allocating funds. In the period of rising prices, the large got richer and poor, poorer. The rich own the means of production. They pay the laborers handsomely. But they take of the left hand what they gave with right hand. The cost of goods swells up. The prices naturally go up. What his master gives him, the securities industry takes. Rising prices encourage hoarding , profiteering, black marketing and corruption. They discourage export. They cause devaluation of currency. Lastly, they seriously disrupt equitable diffusion of wealth. The problem is very dangerous. It needs measures short and vast term, to be adopted. These measures include as appeal mixed up with threat to the sellers, raids on go downs and other hoards of grain, the seizing of black, the cut of Rs 400 crores in exchange expenditure, the ncrease in bank rates to 5 %, the opining of fair price shops, the rationing of provisions, the imports of food-grains from some foreign counties, the curbing of unproductive expenditure by the Government, the readjustment in the scale of pay and the emphasis on small plants. The short term measure entrust help the government to hold the price-line. The long term measures will help the government to withdraw the huge amount of money pumped into circulation during the last year. Corruption has also given rise to rising prices. Analyze the c ountersign India has been having this economic cycle for centuries. But the issue of price of goods has been rising in India had been considered just a while ago. In the past, this economic cycle started with the problem of its population. The ine quality distribution of wealth makes the poor suffer from starving as they do not have money to buy food or clothes. On the other hand, the rich just kept taking advantage of whomever underneath them. Nowadays, India has been intervened by other countries that want to help to improve the quality of life of the poor in India. due to the better quality living of the people, they seem to have more purchasing power than before. The growing population in India, is also the result of improving quality of life, is creating a shortage of consumption goods. Because the demand increase rapidly more than the supply of goods. The increasing of population also creates more corruptions between the government and the investors, because rising price guides them the ways of making more benefits. These all situations have just creating further problems continuously from the past. It seems like these problem would never end because if they cannot fix one spot on the cycle, the other spot would never be solved.

Marijuana and its Legalization

The legality of marijuana has been a hot topic debated upon for years. However, upon close inspection of studies and articles, it is clear that it is in the better by-line of the government to lift the ban on marijuana. The first thing I learned from the inquiry into this issue was that prohibition fails to control the use and production of marijuana. On the contrary, the illegal aspect tickles the curiosity of teenagers, resulting in opportunists seizing this chance to sell marijuana to them. The marijuana is distributed in schools by student dealers who learn to make leisurely money, and these students may be lead into the crime industries. The problem exists in the ubiquitous nature of marijuana and it not be the highest priority of the police. The distribution is not being controlled and neither are sources of the marijuana, which misses the reason of existence for prohibition. In fact, through legalizing marijuana usage, the government substructure earn a plethora of money thr ough taxing, the price can be controlled to be of proper value instead of the underground pricing, and the number of illegal dealers would decrease due to marijuana not being as profitable. In a survey conducted by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, they reported that teens could more readily doorway pot than beer or prescription drugs. What makes alcohol different from marijuana is that alcohol is legal, regulated through age restrictions, and taught in public education ab prohibited its awareness. For instance, in high school, there are no such things as alcohol dealers or tobacco dealers, which leads to the need of a nerve center-man who is of age to buy such products. That middle man is often an older student who has to go out of his way to buy alcohol or tobacco which is a great hassle, whereas marijuana is comfortably found within the student population.People may argue that it is the pure danger of marijuana that led to its prohibi tion, but contrary to popular belief, it is said that marijuana was do illegal in the US for population control of Mexicans and Black people. Harry J. Anslinger, the director of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics remarked that the reason for the ban of marijuana was its effect on the degenerate races. There is no scientific evidence that such known side effects as schizophrenia, heart attacks or cancer are rattling caused by marijuana and therefore the danger of the drug cannot be the reason being illegal. However, due to marijuana passelrs being disoriented and having loss of coordination and logical thought, it would be more reasonable to make certain activities or actions illegal when influenced by marijuana instead, similarly to alcohol. Lastly, the research showed that keeping marijuana illegal is more dearly-won than lobbying it. Apparently the governments War on Drugs results in millions of dollars in losses when locking people related to marijuana in prison, paying for thei r food, housing, health care, attorney fees, and court costs. All this is paid by taxpayer money which are meant for and could be used for other things concerning the country. Also, as stated in the above, the government is missing out on tax opportunities that could be in turn used for more effective drug education programs. If marijuana were legal the government would have oft more money to spend on important problems. Even in our neighbourhoods, hundreds of students are smoking cannabis. Instead of having a large portion of our population having to smoke illegally, it would be more advisable to free the ban and profit from the perks of legalizing marijuana.

Eczema Essay

The city grew very fast, and over the next ten years the existence of West Tennessee expanded from 2500 to 100,000. The majority of families at the time took to farming, and with the help of the fertilizable land, Memphis soon became the center for growing and trading cotton fiber in the Southeast. Indeed, cotton became king in Memphis, bringing in black men and women to work laboured labor on plantations. According to the census of 1820, 20% of the populations of Memphis were slaves, and that number is said to have risen throughout the 19th century. Racial tension in Memphis began with its starting time and second mayor.Marcus B. Winchester was the irst mayor of Memphis and is said to have committed political suicide when he married a woman who was a quarter black. The second mayor of Memphis, Isaac Rawlings, had a common-law marriage with black woman, having multiple children with her. These encounters were soci onlyy unacceptable and looked down upon by clean plantation own ers, even though the majority of whites in Memphis at the time favored the gradual emancipation of slaves. As the civil war approached, the black population grew as more black slaves were brought to Memphis to work the cotton fields.During the Civil War, Memphis sided with the Confederates, but it was uickly captured by the gist who strategically wanted the town as the sight of a naval yard. The Union also made Memphis a freedmans colony, and many neighboring black slaves came to Memphis once they were emancipated to partake in education and paid labor. Memphis fell so easily to the Union that most of its infrastructure remained in place. For a brief moment, Memphis became a city of opportunity to black Americans and a place where black communities thrived.Yet as white Memphians saw themselves competing with former slaves, tensions ran high on many of their newly arrived black neighbors in a riot that left forty-six dead, nearly wice that many injured, pentad women raped, approxim ately 100 blacks robbed, and ninety-one homes, four churches, and all twelve black schools destroyed. l The riots did not stop until martial law was declared and troops from Nashville arrived in Memphis to force peace. For a good many years, the black community suffered and struggled to regain prominence, most of them being too poor to move away for new opportunities. With all the schools destroyed, the educational opportunities vanished and the ability of black to become literate and contribute to society became almost impossible. Yet this would not be the only disaster in Memphis. In the 1870s, a series of yellow fever epidemics plagued the city. In 1878, the worst of the yellow fever epidemics hit, and 25,000 people fled. 17,000 contracted the fever and over 5,000 died in the summer of 1878. Of the population that would remain in Memphis, 70% of those would be blacks who were too poor flee. The city of Memphis, which was already in debt, lost much of its tax base and went bankrupt. At the completion of the 1800s and the early 1900s, Memphis would turn around again economically, yet many of the areas social problems would remain. Memphis fared reasonably well in addressing the problems of its white community, but the citys black citizens were shunted aside, their civil rights and their tender dignity subordinated to a cult of white supremacy. 2 Around this time, railroads connected Memphis to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing it to become one of the largest manufacturers and shippers of hardwood in the United States.
